JDRF’s Greater Delaware Valley Chapter Gala will be the premier event bringing together our Delaware, Eastern PA, and South Jersey communities. On Saturday, April 9, 2022, we will celebrate the tenacity and courage displayed by the type 1 diabetes (T1D) community while raising critical funds for T1D research. 

We are proud to announce we will be honoring Wawa and The Wawa Foundation with the JDRF Living and Giving award at the 2022 One Dream Gala on Saturday, April 9, 2022. Wawa is not only a constant in everyone’s community, but their partnership for 30 years has been instrumental in helping to move JDRF’s mission forward.

Since 1994, Wawa has been a strong partner in our support of type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. Since then, Wawa and The Wawa Foundation have contributed more than $10.0 million through direct contributions and through in-store fundraising campaigns in more than 940 Wawa stores throughout New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, Florida and Washington, D.C.

Our partnership is further enhanced by direct grants from The Wawa Foundation, as well as annual support of the JDRF One Walks where The Wawa Foundation matches associate fundraising efforts up to $100 for any of the JDRF One Walk, and Wawa associates volunteer to distribute in-kind food and beverages to our walkers each year!
